LOS ANGELES – October 6, 2020 – Shamrock Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment firm, today announced that Michael Wilkins will be joining the firm as Partner.

Mr. Wilkins joins Shamrock from Harris Williams where he served as Managing Director and Global Co-Head of their Technology, Media & Telecom group. He has over 20 years of investment banking experience serving leading software, internet, data/analytics, and education technology companies. His extensive global experience includes sell-side and buy-side M&A, recapitalizations, divestitures, public and private equity, and fixed income securities deals.

Mr. Wilkins’ experience prior to joining Harris Williams includes: co-founding the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) group and serving as the Head of Internet & Digital Media at Sagent Advisors; leading the Internet & Digital Media practice at Wachovia Securities; and the Communications, Technologies and Multimedia practice at Wasserstein Perella. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wilkins worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan and started his career as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs.
