Leading Localization Company Increases Dubbing Expertise

BTI Studios is one of the leading localization players globally; providing dubbing, subtitling and access services in over 80 languages. Clients are Video-on-Demand (“VoD”) platforms such as Netflix, Amazon and iflix; major film studios such as NBC Universal, Warner, Disney and Fox; and broadcasters such as Discovery, Turner and Viacom.

On 8th January Michel Barreau was welcomed on board, appointed to the newly created role of Vice President of Dubbing. He will be based in the LA office and will oversee US dubbing operations out of the new custom-built studios on West Olive Avenue. Barreau will also play a key part in strengthening BTI’s global dubbing strategy, including standardizing workflows across BTI Studios’ many local operations, and consulting on acquisitions of studios in key territories in the coming years.

Barreau has extensive experience in global dubbing operations in the entertainment industry, having held senior positions at Technicolor, Deluxe and SDI Media. Prior to this he spent many years as an International Dubbing Consultant, working on major releases such as Anastasia, Ice Age, Star Wars and many others.

Björn Lifvergren, CEO at BTI Studios, commented, “We are thrilled to have Michel on board. His renowned expertise in global dubbing operations will allow BTI to enhance our dubbing offering for our clients, both in the US and globally.”

Michel Barreau commented, “It’s great to be joining BTI Studios at their time of expansion in LA, and on a global basis. I’m looking forward to the challenges of working within the fastest-growing localization company on their expanding dubbing service line at a time where industry demand for localization has never been higher!”
