Maple Media Acquires Mobile Game Portfolio From Banana & Co

LOS ANGELES – December 10, 2018 – Maple Media has acquired San Francisco based Banana & Co’s mobile game portfolio, a collection of highly-rated classic and casual mobile games on the App Store and Google Play.

Banana & Co., is renowned for producing elegant and fun casual mobile games with a focus on high-quality design and easy-to-play experiences, which has led many of their games to be ranked within the top search results on the App Store and Google Play. Checkers‣, Hearts ◆, Mahjong Match!, and Sudoku ◆ are all within the top 20 results for their respective categories, and BlackJack 21 is the top search result for “BlackJack” on Google Play.

Banana & Co. was founded in 2013 by mobile game industry veterans Dan Sciarrino, Jesse Lampert and Yichel Chan, who were early employees at Glu Mobile and Booyah!.

Maple Media will now seamlessly transition the Banana & Co. apps into it’s growing portfolio of high-quality, evergreen and high-ranking apps and games including Minesweeper: Puzzle Bomb, Sudoku :), Puzzlerama and Mazes & More.

By updating and optimizing these new titles, Maple Media aims to both extend its existing portfolio of top ranking apps within each game category, as well as expand its portfolio into new categories. Maple Media also plans to add multiplayer functionality to Banana & Co.’s titles, in order to drive increased engagement and adoption.
