AMC Theatres’ Acquisition of Carmike Cinemas Results in the Transfer of an Additional 384 AMC Theatre Screens to Screenvision Media’s Exhibitor Network

New York, N.Y., December 21, 2016 — Screenvision Media, a national leader in cinema advertising, today announced that upon the closing of the AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AMC) acquisition of Carmike Cinemas (NASDAQ: CKEC), AMC will become a significant Screenvision Media exhibitor partner through its equity stake in the company as well as through a transfer of screens to the Screenvision Media exhibitor network.

Upon closing, Screenvision Media’s network footprint will expand to 14,795 screens, inclusive of 384 screens through the required transfer of AMC locations per the Department of Justice’s approval of the acquisition. The result bolsters Screenvision Media’s network within key DMAs such as Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
